Come ride the beautiful Wasatch Mountains...

Directions: The base camp is located about 55 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, with very easy access. From Heber City, go 20 miles east on Highway 40, over Daniels Pass. Once you cross Strawberry River, you will see a wide graded road with turn out on your left. Take this road and go north about 6 miles until you see the signs for base camp.

Base Camp/Trail/Vet Checks: Base camp is situated in a lovely wide valley surrounded by aspens and pines. There is plenty of room for big rigs, corrals, etc. There is plentiful horse water from a creek but please bring your own drinking water. At this time of year, this exquisitely beautiful mountain recreation area is lush and green with abundant streams and wildflowers. Daytime temperatures range from 70 to 80 degrees F but the nights can get chilly so horse blankets are advised. The trail loops back into camp for all vet checks so crews are not necessary.  Dave Nicholson, DVM (aka "the duck")will be the head vet. The trail is mostly single-track through woodland and open meadows with plenty of water. Although at 8,000ft, the trail is fairly easy with no treacherous spots. In a few areas, the trail rises to 10,000ft with fabulous views of the Wasatch range and the magnificant Uintah Mountains.

Entry Fees/Meals/Awards: The entry fee for the 50 milers will be $80 and the fee for the 25 miler will be $65. A delicious buffet will be served on Saturday night for a cost of $10 (with advance notice please!) We are also planning to provide musical entertainment as well as nice awards and prizes.
