Antelope Island is a unique, pristine island that was privately owned until 1981. The state of Utah purchased it and has been careful in curtailing development.Antelope, deer, coyotes, and bighorn sheep can be seen. Buffalo-all 600 plus-wander at will and manmade trails are limited.

   Directions:Travel 25 miles north of Salt Lake City on
   I-15. Take exit 335, the Syracuse, Freeport Center Exit. Turn   west (left) back over the freeway. Causeway is 7 miles ahead. Causeway gates open 7am-9pm. The causeway fee is $9 and the camping fee is $3.  At the end of the causeway (past marina), go left and follow ribbons about 1 mile. Turn left to White Rock Bay and immediately turn right DOWN the hill to base camp. The last chance and easiest access for fuel is 1 1/2  miles off interstate exit on the road to the island. There is a Sinclair, a Phillips 66 and also an Albertsons on the road.

Base Camp: We are limited to camping areas 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Someone will help you park. If no one is there, please notice how trailers are arranged and follow suit. Horses and portable corrals may be put off the camp circle on the "grass". NO VEHICLES OR TRAILERS ON THE GRASSY AREAS.

Entry Fees/Meals: The entry fee for the 25 miler is $35 and the entry fee for the 50 miler is $75. Non-AERC members will be required to pay an additional $15.
The 50 milers will start at 8am and the 25 milers will start at 8:30am. There will be a potato bar and dessert for dinner.

This year we will have 1 or 2 BLM mustangs suitable for endurance available for adoption so bring your checkbook and take home a new horse.
